Classy, polite, elegant red wine of the region Palaiopotamos in Tyrnavos with the classic process of vinification, long duration spates with fermentation and maturation in large oaken tanks for 12 months. A natural blend from our favorite Tuscan variety mixed with the French syrah.
Color: clean medium ruby.
Nose: clean medium (+) developing intensity with characteristic aromas of blossom (viola, dried rose) with red fruit (cherry, plum, cranberry, strawberry) combined with spices, vegetal aromas of olives, grass, notes of vanilla oak, all embraced with the freshness of red citrus.
Mouth: Dry with medium to high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins (+) exquisitely incorporated in the body of the wine (almost digested). Aromatically it is characterized by red fruits (cherry, crunchy blueberry, raspberries) with cranberry liquor, red citrus together with spices and subtle notes of oak vanilla. The aftertaste is of long duration.
A remarkable red wine which calls for food, accompanies perfectly a spaghetti Bolognese, duck as well as traditional meat pies. The sangiovese offers the incomparable taste of red fruit and high acidity, while the syrah offers the structure, with the blend of polite and subtle tannins.
